BOXCOMPUTE LEGAL

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective October 20, 2026

This policy says what you may not do with BoxCompute. It applies to you, your agents, your API keys, and anything you run on a BoxCompute VM. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Don’t use BoxCompute to

  • Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
  • Create, store or share child sexual abuse material. We report it to the authorities.
  • Build, run or spread malware, ransomware, spyware or botnets.
  • Phish, impersonate others, or collect passwords or payment details by deception.
  • Send spam or other bulk unsolicited messages. Outbound email on port 25 is blocked from VMs.
  • Mine cryptocurrency, or run other work whose main purpose is to use up compute.
  • Scan, probe or attack systems you don’t own or have permission to test, or run denial-of-service attacks.
  • Run open proxies, or resell VPN or proxy access, that let others hide abusive traffic.
  • Try stolen or guessed credentials against other services (credential stuffing).
  • Infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property.
  • Harass, threaten or abuse people, or publish their private information.
  • Ask your agent to do any of these things.

Don’t misuse the platform

  • Don’t create more than one free account, or use other tricks, to get extra credit or get around limits.
  • Don’t get around security controls, network rules, quotas or billing.
  • Don’t access another customer’s account, VMs or data.
  • Don’t interfere with BoxCompute’s systems or other customers’ use of them.
  • Don’t share your account or resell BoxCompute access without our written permission.

Security research

If you find a vulnerability in BoxCompute, report it to [email protected] and give us time to fix it. Keep testing within your own account and don’t affect other customers.

Enforcement

If you break this policy, we may warn you, stop your VMs, remove previews or content, revoke API keys, or suspend or close your account. For serious breaches, or where the law requires it, we may act without notice and report the activity to the authorities. Credit used in a breach is not refunded.

To report abuse from a BoxCompute VM, preview link or account, email [email protected] with the address or link involved and when it happened.
